Recently I started wearing knockaround premium shades for driving, running, and casual wear. The sunglasses arrived in early April, and they were packaged well, to protect them from travel. You never know with things like that, right?
That sticker wound up on my waterbottle, so even that got a good home! It is always nice to get a handwritten note in a package.
I was sent two pair of glasses, the graphite and the frosted gray, sort of more muted than a lot of the sunglasses that I have worn in the past (which are purple, pink, yellow...) and therefore more easily worn for other things than running. The glasses fit the size of my head well, which is good, occasionally they are a little too big on me. The glasses shape is fairly neutral, looking good on most people.
And as I often wore them for a headband, occasionally they might get pulled down over my face for a quick in-office pic. The lenses (of the pairs that I have) are polarized, which is a feature that you don't necessarily realize that you need until you have it. Alternatively, you are of the belief that you can only get polarized lenses when you spend something like $200 on a very premium brand. And I am now a firm believer that this is not the case. And I am also a believer that having polarized lenses is a life upgrade. Especially when running.

The big racing job that my glasses did was at the Flying Pig marathon over the weekend. Well, not the marathon, because obviously, I was not doing that this year, but the 5K. I nearly ALWAYS wear a hat when I run, but I went sunglasses as well for the 5K, and I am glad that I had them with me. They stayed on my nose and ears, did not bounce around, and did not slip when I got sweaty, and did not slip when it started to rain!
As far as durability of these glasses goes, it should be noted that I am the mother to an active 4 year old. These glasses have certainly seen there share of my driveway, the floor of the car, and even the sink once or twice. The lenses do not have any scratches, and the frames are still looking great. I am pleased with the robust nature of the glasses, keeping everything in great shape throughout the abuse they have been given.
