Finding time with versatile shoes

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Mizuno. The opinions and text are all mine.

So, I am a mom. I work. I am a wife. And I train for marathons. Let's just say I am feeling busy pretty often. I struggle to fit in all of the things that I need to do in a given day, and I really have a tough time when I have a day that starts with 10 miles, then I need to work, I have to take Addie to the doctor at lunch, then come home, cook and spend time with my family before trying to get Addie off to bed. I mean, those particular days don't happen that often, but any day is similarly hectic.

At no surprise to anyone, I try and find things in my life that can serve multiple purposes. I tend to live in leggings because they can go from the office to yoga to a run seamlessly. And shoes that work for that? Even better.

Recently, I have been running in (and living in) the Mizuno Wave Rider 21. The 21st iteration of this shoe, and Mizuno is celebrating the fact that these shoes are now of drinking age here in the United States.

In fact, they were the ONLY pair of shoes that I took on my recent vacation to Asheville, NC. So yes, on vacation, I ran in them for 15 miles in the 4 days we were gone, but I also wore them walking all over the property at the Biltmore Estate, and on the walking brewery tour that we did when there - we enjoy taking beercations. And the Mizunos are old enough for that!

Yeah, these shoes even look good with jeans. The shoes feel great, and they were wonderful to walk around in, all over Asheville. Only needing to bring one pair of shoes was a fantastic space saver for us, and I think it made my husband happy that my running clothes were not completely taking up all of the room in our suitcase, as it often does.

And of course, they did join me for some mileage, Thanksgiving Day, they came out for 8 miles with me, including a 5K at a hard effort.

These are great shoes, no matter what you throw at them. And I plan to enjoy more miles and more time in these shoes.

Do you have shoes that you wear for more than one purpose?
