Training Log: Week of October 30

So, I am back to running, training, etc... I am not up to all of the days of running yet or anything, but I am back to feeling consistent. The other thing that happened this week is that I am back to strength training. I got an updated plan from Drew, who is my strength coach from a distance, and I am so glad to be back lifting again. I am excited to see what I can do having the strength stuff RIGHT at the beginning of training/off season, rather than picking it up around 10-12 weeks before my marathon. I think that is going to make a HUGE difference.

Anyway, I am not training for anything specific yet, I have not defined my spring race plan yet, but I do think that I am going to run a marathon. It have it narrowed down to two marathons... More to come on that I guess? I need to define a race plan around my goal marathon, so it kind of comes down to that and how I can work a half marathon and a few 5Ks into that.

But despite the fact that I don't have any real plans yet, I am glad to be back to running. I am glad to have a full schedule coming up again. I am glad that things with Coach are moving forward and I am slowly figuring out what I want to So, let's look at what Mat had me doing this past week...

Monday: 4 miles, recovery.
Tuesday: 7 miles, easy. Core.
Wednesday: Strength
Thursday: 4 miles, recovery.
Friday: Strength. Core.
Saturday: 8 miles.
Sunday: yoga

2x strength
2x core
1x yoga
