Family Vacation: Gatlinburg 2017
Jason and I took Addison on a vacation last week. It was our first trip as a whole family that was more than just a three day weekend. We went to Gatlinburg, TN. I have never been there, but it is a pretty common family vacation spot when you live in Cincinnati.
It is definitely a cheezy tourist destination, but We had a really good time down there, and I would actually go back, I think. We played a lot of mini-golf. 5 rounds of 18 holes, specifically. We went to the Ripley's aquarium of the smokies, we did a lot of swimming at our condo, we ate dinner at a fabulous restaurant - with great local beers!, and had a wonderful time overall.
I think I am going to just go with pictures for the majority of this trip, seeing Addie play "golf" with her daddy, when it is really HIS sport (even though this was just mini-golf, it is a good start) was really special. J and I got some DELICIOUS fudge (vanilla - I know, it's fudge! but it was soo good). And we got a VBRO at a resort, so we had a condo, with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. But we also had all of the perks of staying at a resort. So we had an indoor and outdoor pool, which was a nice thing, and a fitness center (where I did two workouts). Definitely look into VBRO or AirBNB if you are traveling, it was our first time, and we LOVED it!
