BUFF pack run cap: a review

Recently, I received a BUFF Pack run cap to wear during my runs and to review. Please note that as always, while I was given the product through my partnership with BibRave, all opinions are my own.

As you know, based on any photos of me running or racing, I tend to run/race in hats. It is just kind of my thing. Typically I tend to lean toward truckers, but I try not to be too particular about it because the main thing is having a hat to keep the sun (and my hair) out of my eyes. I tend to get headaches with headbands and sunglasses, so a hat does the job. I selected the "R-Jam Lime" color of the BUFF cap.
It is definitely interesting to have a cap that is more styled for running than lifestyle (as most of my hats are lifestyle hats that I just use for running). Some of the unique features of this cap include only 1 oz weight, and a crushable brim so you can pack it in  your pocket when you are done wearing it or just want to tuck it into your pocket pre-run in case you need it later. One of the other things that is my favorite about this is the elastic band in the back to help fit the cap rather than velcro or a snapback. I bought a trucker with this feature earlier in the year and have decided that it is the ONLY way to have a had from running.

The cap itself has a lot of stretch to it in the fabric so it fits on my head regardless of how I have my hair pulled back (or not) on any given day. In addition, that top panel has UPF 50 protection! So while I have hair there, it definitely does not hurt to get some extra protection from the sun. The side panels are designed to help with sweat wicking, and if you are a heavy sweater like I consider myself to be, that is a great feature. The BUFF logo on the front is reflective, which is great for 4-5 am runners like me, and there is a sweatband right at the brim to help keep sweat out of eyes.

Overall, while I would not wear this cap out casually like I might wear some of my truckers, it is a great hat for running, and it does the job for a run. It is a great cap for running, and if you are one of those people who wears hats when they run, definitely check this one out.
