A little weekend trip - Columbus. Friday June 23

This past weekend, I spent some time in Columbus. It feels a little bit like one of those strange moments when you are not sure how to react. I enjoyed my time up there, we had fun, I got to spend a good amount of time relaxing because J went to play golf, but at the same time, it was a little bit stressful. Addie was not with me, which made me feel sad, because it is my birthday, and she is my little nugget family. But, J did this as something nice for me, so I am, of course, thrilled with the gift.

We got up there mid afternoon on Friday, doing kind of a round about drive due to some construction and my phone routing us in a different way to avoid it. We went right over to North High Brewing, which was a place that we explored last fall when we were here for the Buckeyes game. We had a few beers and then went to try new things...

We met up with J's cousin Chris and his wife Danielle.
I know Chris looks not thrilled, but to him, that is a smile. I swear it. This was the second picture, and in the first one, he was truly frowning, so he made me delete it and take another. This was at Hoof Hearted, one of several Columbus area breweries that we went to check out.

Later we went over to Four Strings brewery.
We had a pretty good time, and were back to the hotel and in bed around 11 pm. J was clearly wiped, as he completely crashed and quickly. I was tired, but then starting to feel not great. Let's go back and think things through for the rest of the weekend. Maybe I shouldn't drink all day long. And maybe then when I smile, I won't have veins hanging out of my neck.

Ha!

Next up, how we spent Saturday.
