Strength in Running

Last night when I got home from work, I was feeling the urge to run again.  However, two a days are not for me, at least not right now, so I reached out to Karen to talk me off the ledge.  She suggested doing a little at home strength training, so I got out some 15 lb free weights and my kettlebell and did a bit of upper body work.  I skipped out on the lower body because I have been finding my legs to be extra tired after lower body work, and again, running has GOT to be the focus!

This morning was another quick 4 miler, tempo/progressive run.  My first three miles were as follows:
Mile 1 - 8:24
Mile 2 - 8:20
Mile 3 - 8:01 (whoa!)
Mile 4 - cooldown 9:19

It felt pretty good and had me at an average pace for the run of right around 8:30/mile.  So definitely right in line with what I want! 

It has been a ridiculously busy day here at work, so I am sorry that this entry to so uninformative!
