An Explosion (in the microwave)
When I got home last night, I was hungry already and I knew that J would not be home until almost 7 pm. So I made myself a snack, taught to me by my friend Tyler. She and I were in Glee Club together in high school, and now we are both really into the fitness scene. You know, competing, muscle building, eating eggs. Lol. Her boyfriend is a bodybuilder.
But anyway, she had posted on her facebook something about a casein brownie. I have been making casein pudding for a pretty long time, but I got burned out on it. So she told me how to make it, and I decided that would be a good choice for a snack. Into a mug went an egg white, a scoop of chocolate casein, a pinch of baking powder, and enough water to blend it all together. And into the microwave it went. Its kind of a guessing game when heating protein powder sometimes, so I started with 45 seconds. When I took it out it wasn't quite all "baked" yet, so I put it back in for another 30 seconds.
I know that lots of folks have seen that with their oats, but how about chocolate protein powder? I scooped it out (it is pretty solid/scoopable) and ate it. It turned out to be pretty yum!
Dinner ended up not healthy even a little, but becasue of the rest of my day being really good I tried not to worry about it. We ordered pizza.
This morning I was up for my 5 am-er, which was NOT a run. I started out with 20 minutes on the elliptical and then did upper body strength training. Since I added yoga this week I am feeling better about my strength training. Here was the workout:
When I got home, I was just feeling lazy. Lazy about breakfast, so I ended up with this:
The chocolate made me tired of it about halfway in. Not a good choice for breakfast. Lol. Ooops.
Tonight I am going to a Pure Romance party. I don't really have anything on the list that I need, but I guess we'll see if something catched my eyes when I am there!
Happy Friday!
