Best.Husband.Ever

Last night J and I had a company come out and price our kitchen cabinets and countertops.  We have been talking about doing this for a pretty long time, and we finally got around someone to come in and chat with us.  I, admittedly, have been crazy nervous about it.  I mean, a kitchen is a ton of money to spend.  But I am still so excited about it! 

We are not doing a full remodel, but new cabinets and new counter tops.  It is going to be a HUGE update, especially when we throw in a little new paint, which we were planning on doing as well,  and it will look great!  We are not ding new appliances at this time, but I am still really looking forward to it.

Because we had that guy visiting us last night, it ended up being kind of a weird evening.  J and I got home at the same time (at 5 after 5 - that NEVER happens!) and I took care of the dogs while J hit our treadmill for a half hour/40 minutes.  It was his third day this week on the treadmill!  I am so happy that he is getting back into it.  Then we hung out for a little while and the the estimator came out.  He ended up giving us a deal that we could not turn down.  So we did not turn it town. 

This morning I did make it to the gym.  And I did NOT have a run scheduled!  I started out my workout by warming up/getting a smidge of crosstraining by spending 20 minutes on the elliptical.  Then I completed the following upper body strength routine on the hoist machines.
I am definitely starting to get a little bit stronger, and I am pleased with my workouts this week.  I know that I only made it to the gym at 5 am twice, but hey, I think I did a darn good job for my first week on a very structured plan.  Its the first time I have been so structured since like September.  Only its the opposite this time.  Now my plan is structured in cardio and loose in lifting which is different than before.
